Visual Identity: Semimaraton Iași
Client: Save the Children Iasi, September Media Agency

About the project
Semimaraton Iași is the largest outdoor sports event in the northeast of Romania, combining athletic performance with a strong social cause. Every kilometer run translates into a school day for a vulnerable child, creating a direct link between movement, solidarity, and education. Beyond its fundraising role, the event has grown into a community built around generosity, energy, and the joy of running together.
Objective
The project aimed to refresh the event’s visual identity and position Semimaraton Iași as more than a sports competition: as a movement that unites people of all ages around both health and solidarity. The new identity needed to reflect dynamism, inclusivity, and the power of collective action.
Insight
Being a sports event dedicated to all age groups, the identity had to be bold, energetic, and dynamic, evoking mobility, vitality, and emotional connection. The challenge was to translate the energy of running into a symbol that resonates with both athletes and the wider community.

Creative Direction
For the 2025 edition, the visual identity took a completely new turn compared to previous years. A playful, hand-drawn mascot became the central symbol of the communication, representing movement and enthusiasm in a simple yet memorable way. The bold graphic style, vibrant colors, and modular applications infused the event with energy across all channels. The identity was implemented consistently across social media, print, outdoor, medals, animations, and every touchpoint, ensuring a unified and instantly recognizable presence.

Results
The 2025 edition gathered 2,884 runners and raised 20,000 euros for vulnerable children. Beyond the numbers, the event strengthened its community and reinforced its status as an emblematic initiative for the city of Iași, with a modern and engaging visual identity that connected people through sport and solidarity.
